DEATH in Paradise fans think every detective is dead and stuck in limbo as St Marie's murder rate skyrockets. The hit BBC drama has seen four detectives head to the Caribbean island over the course of nine series.

The first - Ben Miller's Detective Richard Poole - was found dead after being murdered with an ice pick. The following two detectives - Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) and Jack Mooney (Ardal O'Hanlon) left the island after falling in love with their respective women.

The newest detective to arrive on Saint Marie is Neville Parker - played by Ralf Little - who was only supposed to be on the island temporarily but at the end of series nine he had a change of heart and decided to stay permanently.
