Baftas take place in February, but – as with every other film awards show – it’s been delayed due to the pandemic. The ceremony will now take place on 11 April, a fortnight before the Oscars, the nominations for which will be announced on Monday (15 March).
Films in contention for Bafta nods include The Father, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Promising Young Woman and Nomadland, which picked up Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Director for Chloé Zhao at the Golden Globes.
