Aymeric Laporte believes the small St Mary's pitch played a role in Manchester City's draw against Southampton. City's 12-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 stalemate on the South coast.

The Blues were much better towards the end of the half and into the second 45 minutes, though, with Laporte himself finding the equaliser as he powerfully headed in Kevin De Bruyne's free-kick.
