A section of Manchester City fans were fuming after a big decision in their game against Southampton went against them. City went behind in the first half after right-back Kyle Walker-Peters fired the Saints ahead.
Pep Guardiola's team would grow into the game, with Aymeric Laporte scoring to bring them level in the second half. An under-par City pushed for an equaliser late on, and could have been given a major advantage with just 10 minutes to go.
Kevin de Bruyne attempted to drive into the box, when he was felled by a Southampton defender. VAR footage showed that the Belgian had been close to being inside the box, however, they did not determine that it was a penalty.
Just moments later, Stuart Armstrong could have been sent off for a high challenge, but no red card was given after another VAR check.
