'As the World Turns' Actress Kathryn Hays Has Passed Away at 88
justjared.comKathryn Hays has sadly died. The actress, who was best known for playing Kim Sullivan Hughes on the soap opera As the World Turns for 38 years, passed away on March 25. Click inside to read more… TV Line reports that Kathryn died in Fairfield, Connecticut, but no cause of death has been reported as of this time. Kathryn made guest appearances on over 40 TV shows throughout her career, but her most well-known credit is As the World Turns.
She joined the show in 1972 and stayed with the show until it went off the air in September 2010. As the World Turns star Don Hastings said in a statement, “Our relationship as Bob and Kim was as close as Kathryn and my relationship, except we were not married.
We were more like brother and sister and we were great friends. Our biggest squabble was that she always wanted to rehearse and I wanted to take a nap.
This is a huge loss to all who knew her.” We’re sending our thoughts and condolences to Kathryn‘s loved ones during this difficult time.
