Anguished mum says son 'had chance at life' before hitting head in hospital fall

A young DJ seriously ill with meningitis hit his head after taking a fall whilst in a confused state, an inquest heard. Alex Theodossiadis, 25, passed away after he was admitted to Leeds General Infirmary before being moved to St James's Hospital in January last year, Manchester Evening News reports.

His mum Professor Sue Theodossiadis believes her son "had a chance at life" had he not taken the stumble, she told the inquest.

She went on to add that she had a number of concerns about the circumstances of his death, especially in relation to falls he suffered at St James's."He did have a chance and that was taken away by the falls as far as I’m concerned," Prof Theodossiadis told the inquest in Wakefield, West Yorkshire."Our view is that
