A £100 fine warning has been issued to anyone who uses motorways in the UK. New cameras have been installed which will land motorists with an automatic £100 fine and the risk of three points on their licenses if caught driving in the wrong lane.
This applies to motorway drivers using a shut lane, normally marked with a red 'X' on an overhead sign. Now National Highways, which maintains motorways and trunk roads, says it has improved its motorway cameras to catch drivers doing this.
