Supermarket giant Aldi has announced it plans to open 100 stores in the next 12 months - a move that will create around 4,000 jobs.The move comes as part of a two-year £1.3bn investment pledge, which aims to see new and expanded distribution centres and the rollout of recent innovations and developments, including a new ‘click and collect’ service which was successfully piloted and launched to customers last week.Aldi's CEO, Giles Hurley, said: "For over 30 years, our success has been driven by the ever-increasing number of shoppers who put their trust in Aldi every time they shop with us.
