dailyrecord.co.ukScott Agnew admits Airdrie’s draw with Queen’s Park leaves them facing a must win game for their League One title hopes when they face leaders Cove on Saturday.The Diamonds have twice blown the chance to cut the seven point gap in the past week but back-to-back draws in a midweek clash at Clyde and Saturday’s meeting at Queen’s Park means they could fall 10 points behind with a defeat at Balmoral Stadium.Player/assistant boss Agnew watched his side held by the Spiders as two goals in a minute during the first half settled it.Charlie Fox’s stunning opener for Spiders in 27 minutes was cancelled out by Scott McGill’s effort from a Callum Smith assist moments later.Airdrie now face a Cove side they have yet to take a point off of in two previous meetings this season, while they have Montrose breathing down their necks in third-place, just a point behind.After Saturday’s result, Agnew said: “It’s not as bad as it could have been, but we know it could have been better as well.“It was a tough game against Queen’s Park but the boys are excited for the next one – and what an opportunity it is for us.“I think every game is a must win if we want to hang in there.“We expect to win every game we play but in terms of keeping in touch with Cove we’ve got to go and take three points and put some pressure on them.“We’ll be going up there full of confidence.“I don’t think there’s been much in the games before.“They scored in the 91st minute up there and then they got a couple of late goals at our place.“Montrose are only a point behind us now as well.
