dailyrecord.co.ukSaltcoats pooch is set to become the new face of Aldi's brand pet food.Jet, the labrador, beat 1,500 other four-legged hopefuls in the supermarket giant's nationwide search for the most expressive pooch.The search was prompted following customer complaints that the original model Earl looked 'miserable' and a bit glum.Good boy Jet, 4, was selected as the overall winner by the Instagram famous dog 'Dolly Pawton' for being the most expressive pet.Dolly also selected three runners-up – springer spaniel Willow from England; chihuahua Olive from Scotland and border terrier Buster from Wales – each won a pet hamper courtesy of Aldi.The search coincided with Aldi’s announcement that it is launching its 'best ever' pet food range.Leader of the pack.
