Some of the most badly damaged roads in Horwich and Blackrod will still be repaired next week, despite the lockdown. Last year, Bolton Council announced a list of hundreds of roads across the borough which had been earmarked for repair work as part of a £12 million project.
Repair work will begin on Marsh Street, Ramsbottom Road, Summer Street, Iron Street and Rawlinson Street, in Horwich next week.
St Katherines Drive, in Blackrod, will also be fixed. The repairs are continuing in line with government guidance on the importance of construction for the nation.
Bolton Council confirmed work will be carried out in accordance with official guidelines on safe distancing and several measures are in place to protect both staff and the public
