Three people who worked at the Royal Bolton Hospital have died from coronavirus

Three Royal Bolton Hospital employees are among 166 people who have died from coronavirus in the borough. As well as health care worker Lourdes Campbell who contracted coronavirus and died last month, two “back office” staff have also died from the disease.

Both Bolton NHS Foundation Trust employees had been ill for months with terminal conditions before contracting COVID-19 and requiring hospital admission.

Chief operating officer Andy Ennis told the trust’s board of directors at a virtual meeting on Thursday that many staff have also lost family members.
