'You can’t live your life how you want to anymore': The residents 'scared to walk their dogs' after yet another tragic stabbing

People in Salford woke this morning to reports of yet another stabbing. Residents who spoke to the MEN said they were shocked and worried about the number of 'awful' knife crime incidents around Greater Manchester recently.

And, for those living in areas close to the latest attack, these moments of violence are increasingly impacting on their day to day lives. She said: "It's awful isn't it, what's gotten into people? "I'm supposed to take my dog for a walk, but I don't think I will now, I just don't feel safe anymore. “You can’t live your life how you want to anymore.” A neighbour, who lives on Manchester Road, explained what he saw in the wake of the stabbing.

He said: "I got up several times because I could see the flashing lights at around 4am. "I finally got up just gone 6am and saw a load of police. "It's awful, it really is." Another resident added that, while the area is usually quiet, there have been similar incidents in the past: "It's usually a quiet area, but having said that, there have been some stabbings along this road in the last two years. "It's always a sad to hear of something like that and this is no different." A neighbour who came home late to find the scene on Manchester Road, told the MEN: "I got home late last night so I didn't see anything.
