A woman who was arrested after a school was placed in lockdown over threats to kill has been released from custody. The woman, aged 26, was arrested after pupils at Golborne High in Wigan were forced to hide under desks when a 'gun' threat was made over the internet.

Worried relatives rushed to the gates after armed police were called to the school on Monday (November 22). Classes were halted at 10.40am after online threats from someone claiming to have a gun and targeting the school.
