She had held onto the watch ever since her husband's death in 2006, but had decided that now was the time to move forward. She told Kathy that, if she can sell the watch instead of keeping it cooped up in her safe, then she will be able to buy herself a new present with the money.
And she explained that it would then be as though Michael was buying her more presents, even though he is no longer with her physically.
Reni was offered €12,500 for her watch and it was not a deal that she had to think on for long. She snapped the deal up and Kathy was pleased too, as she has a whole book of people who would love to purchase the beautiful wrist accessory.
