A woman was left needing a life-saving operation after surgery to remove a cancerous tumour - first deemed as a 'pulled muscle' - went wrong.
Catherine Kilgallen, aged 64, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in June 2021, which left her carrying a two-stone mass in her tummy.
The cancer known as retroperitoneal retro sarcoma, a rare cancerous tumour that develops in the abdomen, had originally been misdiagnosed by Catherine's, from Rotherham, GP as a pulled muscle.
