Woman (55) dies in crash at A9 junction north of Perth

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a one vehicle fatal crash on the A9 between Luncarty and Bankfoot, Perthshire.

The incident happened around 9.20pm on Thursday at the junction for Stanley, outside Newmill Farm and involved a white Mini Cooper.

Emergency services attended and the driver, a 55-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.The A9 was closed northbound while road crash investigation work was carried out and re-opened around 2.30am on Friday (November 18).Inspector Gregory Burns said: “We are appealing for anyone in the area around the time of the crash to get in touch as you may have information that could assist with our investigation. “Road users are also asked to check their dash-cam to see if they have footage that could help with enquiries.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3418 of Thursday, November 17 2022.
