A year later, the duo split, briefly reconciled, and then broke up for good. As much as the former WWE superstar wanted things to work out, her gut told her that John wasn't the one for her. "No one thought I would, but it was hitting me so hard," she said of their breakup. "Even though it's painful and even traumatizing, I just knew it was right."Since going their separate ways, John and Nikki have found love elsewhere.

The "Peacemaker" actor married Shay Shariatzadeh in October 2020. They had a more formal ceremony last week in Canada. Nikki, meanwhile, got engaged to her "Dancing With the Stars" partner Artem Chigvintsev in November 2019.

They share a 1-year-old son, Matteo.Although Nikki and Artem have yet to the tie the knot, they still plan to make things official. "We are just trying to figure out this whole family thing with Artem," she said of her soon-to-be Russian in-laws. "[We're] praying that we can get Artem's family, hopefully, to America soon.
