After Niall Horan turned his London apartment into the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon stage Wednesday night, returning late-night hosts will also need artists to fill in as home entertainment.

TV’s late-night comics are finding they don’t need all the usual trappings to get on with their shows.

Emily Blunt revealed which former co-star talked her out of pursuing a singing career on Tuesday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. After host Jimmy Kimmel said that he heard that Blunt almost became a pop star, she responded, "I could've been Britney." The actress has never released an album, though has sung in the musical films Into the Woods and Mary Poppins Returns.

Fans may have noticed that every video and television performance released by The Weeknd in the run-up to the March 20 release of his next album, “After Hours,” is thematically linked and part of a larger story that is gradually unfolding. That continues with the release of a “short film” that bears the name of the album and its recent title-track single — although the music in this new film is almost all instrumental and, well, we can only guess at what’s going on here.
