Winds with a 'danger to life' warning will thrash Scots in the north as two weather warnings have been issued for tonight and Monday.

Severe gales reaching 80 to 90mph are expected to hit storm-weary Scots.The first Met Office warning in the northwest lasts from 9pm tonight to 6am tomorrow.Gusts will move eastward as a second wind warning is in place from midnight to noon tomorrow in the northeast.The weather warnings state: "Very windy weather is possible across northern parts of Scotland.

There is a risk of disruption to travel, particularly ferry services."Injuries and danger to life from flying debris are possible, warns the Met Office.Strengthening winds will pick up from the late afternoon according to BBC Weather Scotland.BBC
