However, the contestant did not seem to catch Sajak’s gaffe and failed to get the right answer before time expired.At the end of the show, Sajak, who has hosted “Wheel of Fortune” since 1982, addressed the slip while speaking to hostess Vanna White.“I wonder how many people at home caught it,” Sajak said. “But, in setting up the thing, you know, there weren’t many letters up there and I said, ‘I’d rather be here than up there, quite frankly’ — which was the puzzle.
