Coronavirus has left the live music industry at a standstill, shutting down venues, rescheduling festivals, and canceling tours in its wake.

STOLEN—a techno-rock band from Chengdu, China, approximately 600 miles outside of Wuhan, the pandemic’s epicenter—was on the brink of some of their biggest shows yet when the risk of COVID-19 sidelined them.

Last October, the raucous six-member group achieved their dream of representing a “young, modern China” on the global stage when they toured Europe with New Order, one of their heroes.

The synthpop legends were so impressed that they invited STOLEN to open for them again in Japan, slated for this month. STOLEN had also announced a tour of China to commemorate their 10th anniversary.
