Health chiefs fear people with cancer symptoms are not coming forward due to the coronavirus crisis - with urgent referrals dropping by a worrying 50 per cent.NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde say residents don’t appear to be contacting their GPs as they usually would to discuss health concerns.A spokesman told the Lennox Herald: “We have seen a reduction in urgent suspected cancer referrals of up to 50 per cent.“This is not as a result of GPs not referring patients they treat, but because patients may not as readily be contacting their GPs to discuss symptoms.“We understand the coronavirus pandemic may have made people anxious about accessing healthcare services in the same manner they would previously have done.“However, we would like to
