Supermarket chain Aldi submits plans for new store in West Lothian

Supermarket chain Aldi has submitted a planning application for a new store in Broxburn.The discount food retailer has lodged the application with West Lothian Council for a new shop at Greendykes Industrial Estate in Broxburn.And if given the green light, 35 new jobs will be created.The submission comes after a successful online consultation event to inform local residents and receive feedback on the proposals.The online consultation event was held on June 10 and the retailer wrote to over 2,000 local residents to inform them of the development.

The company received over 250 responses of which 95 per cent were in support of the plans.The proposed store will deliver a 1,315 Sqm food store with 107 parking bays.It said the new store points.
