Nathan Jackson, then 19, had been invited to the gathering in Cheadle by a friend, but upon hearing shouting from outside, he 'took it upon himself' to get involved.

After getting into an argument with the victim, the man headbutted Jackson, Minshull Street Crown Court heard.
