Vandals daub graffiti on 500-year-old Scots listed building

historic Scots building was hit by vandals. The B-listed Finavon Doocot, off the A90 at Findavon, was targeted with graffiti sometime between last Tuesday and Wednesday.

Believed to have been built by the Earl of Crawford in the 16th Century, is the largest building of its type in Scotland and was used for housing pigeons.

Shocking pictures show the massive 'tags' which have been sprayed onto the historic site which appear to read 'smaik' and 'VBN'.Police have confirmed they are now investigating the attack and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.A statement from Tayside division read: ""We are currently investigating a vandalism to the Finavon Doocot, off the A90 at Finavon, which happened sometime between 8am Tuesday 27th – 5pm.
