Urgent search launced to trace Scots schoolboy missing overnight

An urgent search has been launched to trace a Scots schoolboy reported missing overnight. Kayden Campbell has disappeared from Shotts, Lanarkshire, last night, having last been seen at a takeaway on Station Road around 10pm.

The 14-year-old is described as being white, 5ft tall and of a skinny build with brown hair and blue eyes.He was last seen wearing a black North Face jacket, grey jogging bottoms and a black baseball cap.Officers are urgently trying to locate Kayden as his frantic family say it is a concern no one has heard from him.Constable Christopher Duffin, Shotts Police Station, said: "Since Kayden was reported missing by his family in the early hours of this morning officers have been making enquiries but so far no one has seen or heard from him which is a concern for everyone."He was spotted at a takeaway on Station Road last night but not been seen since."We would appeal to anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to get in touch with police."Information can be passed to officers via 101 by quoting the reference number 0425 of Sunday, 26 June, 2022.
