Christmas trees has been lit up for the first time this year in the Highlands. The 16ft tree in Ullapool has been built using dozens of creels used for catching shellfish in the local area.It has become an annual festive tradition for the village since it was first constructed in 2016.
Hundreds would normally gather for the grand switch-on event for the tree, but plans had to be shelved due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions.
But it hasn’t stopped the locals in Ullapool posing proudly next to the structure in the run up to Christmas Day.Residents have been sure to show off this local legend with Scots across the country over social media - and it’s safe to say they’ve been wowed by the sight of it.One person wrote: “What a wonderful.
