Click here for more news and sport from the Stirling area.James, who works in a coffee shop, said the lack of a routine owing to lockdown forced him to look into finding a focus, with the training and preparation beginning in January and including four runs and two gym sessions a week.He told the Observer: “It all really came around last summer when I reached a bit of a low point personally and my dad and I came around to the idea of potentially running the West Highland Way.“It really grew arms and legs from there and I got a real sense of self-purpose through the run and through sharing my own story.“Lockdown definitely had a big impact because the routine was out of the window and I ended up in a bit of a rut with nothing to really look.
