(CAMHS). But by the end of March this year that figure had increased to 2,012 - an increase of 189.5% over the period. The Scottish Government has set a target of having at least 90% of those seeking help from CAMHS seen within 18 weeks.
The latest figures were branded "a scandal" by Scottish Labour today with the party calling for more investment in mental health services.
A report, produced by Public Health Scotland, found only 72.5 per cent of children and young people seen had waited less than 18 weeks.
The statistics also show that 2,012 young people on the CAMHS waiting list had already waited over a year for treatment and that between January and March this year, 1,703 referrals, equivalent to 22.1 per cent, were rejected.In 2019/20.
