The number of people who have died in hospital in the UK after contracting coronavirus has risen by more than 700 in the past day.
A total of 41,903 people have now tested positive for the virus in the UK, and 4, 313 of those hospitalised have sadly died.
The number of deaths has risen by 708 from Friday's figure of 3,605, with the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus increasing by 3,735 from 38,168.
More than 180,000 Covid-19 tests have now been carried out in the UK. The latest update from the Department of Health reads: "As of 9am 4 April, a total of 183,190 people have been tested of which 41,903 tested positive. "As of 5pm on 3 April, of those hospitalised in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus, 4,313 have sadly died." The
