Headteacher David Proctor said: “The safety of our pupils and staff is paramount. We drew up comprehensive plans to deal with any Covid outbreak on return to school, in line with guidance from Public Health England and the local infection team.“Unfortunately we have had four cases of coronavirus in school – three children and one member of staff.

These were spread across a number of our year groups, which is why – after taking advice from PHE – we had to ask a large number of pupils to self-isolate.“We have written to all parents, those whose children are now at home and those in our year groups that are.
