Piccadilly Gardens. A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault in connection with the incident.He remains in police custody for questioning.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing at about 8.30pm on Thursday. A 19-year-old man has been detained and taken to hospital with a stab wound to the back.

He's said to be in a stable condition.
