The family of a 'caring' and 'hilarious' student, 19, have paid a heartbreaking tribute to 'the strongest person we ever knew'.

Stanley Gula was sadly found dead at his home address on Stretford Road in Hulme on November 26, an inquest opening at Manchester Coroner's Court heard on Thursday (January 11).

In an obituary, Stanley's family said he 'dreamed' of becoming a music journalist, and had moved to the city to study the subject at Manchester Metropolitan University.

His family described him as 'effortlessly cool' and 'extremely passionate about the things he cared about,' adding he had 'so many plans and aspirations for the future'. "A son, brother, nephew, and friend, Stanley's impact on those who knew him can never be understated," they wrote. Try MEN Premium now with our amazing New Year offer...
