Click inside to read more… This is not the only time Tom Hardy‘s diction has made headlines: he’s previously been the subject of articles like Vulture‘s “Tom Hardy Needs to Learn How to Enunciate.” The Dallas Observer also made a list called “Tom Hardy Movies Ranked by How Hard It Is to Understand What He’s Saying” back in 2020.
Other celebrities included on the list include Sofia Vergara, Sean Connery, Michael Caine and Benedict Cumberbatch.
The hardest shows to understand are Peaky Blinders, followed by Derry Girls and Game of Thrones. The survey finds that half of Americans watch TV with closed captioning / subtitles due to hard-to-understand accents or muddled audio.
