Timothee Chalamet Reveals He Took His 'First Date Ever' to See the 'Hunger Games'

Timothee Chalamet has been a fan of his Don’t Look Up co-star Jennifer Lawrence for a long time!

During an interview at the 2022 Oscars on Sunday (March 27), the actor discussed his time filming the Adam McKay movie and what it was like working with so many actors he had looked up to since childhood. Click inside to read more… Timothee compared the Don’t Look Up shoot to working on his other Oscar-nominated film, Dune. “Dune was like a four, five-month project in the desert that I was the lead of with Rebecca Ferguson and a great cast,” he explained. “And then Don’t Look Up was an opportunity to work with Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio, two actors that I hugely look up to, especially DiCaprio, who I grew up watching his movies.” He also added, “But Hunger Games, I took my first date… My first date ever was that Hunger Games one.” The first installment in the Hunger Games franchise was released in March 2012, with Jennifer playing protagonist Katniss Everdeen.

She went on to reprise her role in the three ensuing movies: Catching Fire (2013), Mockingjay – Part 1 (2014), and Mockingjay – Part 2 (2015).

It was recently announced that Timothee would be reuniting with the director of Call Me By Your Name for a new movie.
