Jada Pinkett Smith, the wife of Will Smith, has shared her first message following the controversy that rocked the Oscars at the weekend.
On Sunday night, her husband stormed the stage and hit Chris Rock, the comedian, who had just made a joke at her expense. Smith has since apologised to Rock and the Oscars for the attack, which came just minutes before he won best actor for his role in King Richard.

A quote posted on her Instagram page said: “This is a season for healing and I’m here for it.” In an Instagram post issued on Monday afternoon US time - the early hours of Tuesday morning UK time - Mr Smith had previously said: "Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive.
