Pictures showed a grey Range Rover embedded into a building. It appeared to have smashed through a glass door or window. Onlookers claimed the vehicle also hit a traffic light. Two of them suffered serious injuries. Greater Manchester Police have not confirmed whether any arrests were made. A large emergency services response was sparked after the incident yesterday with police officers, paramedics and firefighters called to the scene.
People were asked to avoid the area as road closures were put in place. Officers were stationed at the scene for several hours.
