An inquest has opened into the death of a 24-year-old man following a Warehouse Project event last month. Kyle Bolton told paramedics he 'felt unwell' during the event on April 9, and later died at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

The opening at Manchester Coroners' Court heard that Kyle attended the 'MK - Return to Manchester' event at the Mayfield Depot in the city centre on the Friday evening (April 9) before presenting himself to paramedics.

Area coroner Zak Golombeck said that it was decided to take him to the emergency department at the MRI. "En route he became unconscious," Mr Golombeck said, and on his arrival to hospital he was found to have a very high temperature of 40C.

He also had a very high heart rate, with dilated pupils, 'rigid' muscles, and was going into a seizure.
