Three men died after a two car crash on the A711 Dumfries to Dalbeattie road in the early hours of yesterday.Four others were injured and taken to Dumfries Infirmary where two were said to be in “life-threatening” conditions.The three men who died were all passengers in a Honda Civic car which was in collision with a Honda CRV at around 12.20am.The driver of the Civic and three occupants of the other car were injured.The road was closed yesterday as police carried out crash scene investigations.Chief Inspector Lorraine Napier of Police Scotland said: “This tragic incident is extremely upsetting for everyone involved and our thoughts are with the family of those who have died.“Our enquiries remain ongoing and we will do all we can to establish the full circumstances that led up to the crash.“I would ask anyone who has any information that could assist us, to contact police via 101.”
