There are now more than 10,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Greater Manchester. Government data released today revealed that 10,025 people in our region have now tested positive for COVID-19.

Across Greater Manchester, the diagnosis rate currently stands at 356 per 100,000 people. Oldham has the highest number of confirmed cases per population of 100,000 across the region, the government data shows.

The borough is also the tenth highest in England. New data also revealed today that the north of England has become the epicentre of the UK coronavirus pandemic - with nearly twice the number of new infections as London recorded today.
