hereJudge Patrick Field QC told Mackintosh: "You attempted to rush the door staff to get into the nightclub, when you knew you had been barred entry, inspiring other members of your group, your friends, to attack the doormen with you."This was, on any view, unacceptable violent behaviour."In the course of the event, you picked up a metal pole, used to support the queuing rope outside the nightclub, and use it as a weapon."The court heard he 'jabbed' it at door staff then threw it."That act alone could have resulted in serious injury," the judge continued."Mercifully, it didn't.
But that, I suspect, is more to good fortune than design."Judge Field said Mackintosh played a 'leading role' in the incident, which broke out as other revellers.
