Lian Clayton was jailed after she repeatedly punched the disabled woman in her 50s on her own doorstep. The 25-year-old pinned the woman to the floor as she punched and kicked her before stamping on her ribcage, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The victim was 'screaming in pain', a neighbour who had rushed to the woman's aid said, and described how she 'heard the sounds of bones crunching' as the attack took place.

The court heard Clayton had previously "stabbed her sister" and was convicted of wounding in 2010. The case was heard before a youth court, as Clayton was 14 at the
