Wythenshawe. The Emmaus charity has been around since 1992 and has 29 communities dotted around the country, including Bolton, Salford and Rochdale.

It aims to provide local homeless and vulnerable people with meaningful work, training and accommodation.Thanks to St. Andrews Church, the charity has been able to set up a new textiles and wood workshop in south Manchester, which will serve as the starting point for an ambitious future in the area.As the ‘local champion’ for the Wythenshawe-based project, Mark is leading the project management side of things alongside Chair, Frances Hirst.
