Meteorologists believe that snow will fall in the country on around Tuesday, January 16.Weather maps from Ventusky have shown that snow will fall across the northern part of Scotland on January 16, spreading down to reach the western areas, including Glasgow, by Wednesday, January 17.Steven Keates, a Met Office Deputy Chief Forecaster, said: "The colder conditions across the UK are likely to be established for some time and will be a key theme of next week’s weather.

However, the beginning of next week is likely to see the lowest temperatures of this colder spell, and by the end of next week we should start to see a gradual rise in values, at least for a time."It is during this period of time, at the beginning of next week, when the first significant flurries of snow are likely to be at their heaviest in the UK.
