The Chase's Mark Labbett has been comforted by fans after he was left apologising for his behaviour. The ITV quiz show star, known as The Beast, took to social media after the latest episode aired on Wednesday.

The latest edition of The Chase saw four new players hoping to beat the chaser and walk away with a cash prize. And it was Simon, Trudy, Gurbinder, and Tom who were facing The Beast this time. The group successfully answered 20 questions and it was over to The Beast to try and catch them. But with around 20 seconds and multiple questions left to go, Mark was thrown off course.

As the time continued to go down and with seconds to spare, The Beast admitted defeat. "I give up, well-played guys," he said as the four players celebrated their win.
