Suranne Jones has admitted that she was left with whiplash and “covered in bruises” after filming dramatic stunt scenes for new BBC One drama series Vigil.
In the six-part series from the makers of Line of Duty, Suranne, 42, stars as DCI Amy Silva – a dedicated detective who’s called in to investigate a mysterious death onboard a submarine called HMS Vigil.
Viewers will see that Amy will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of the complicated case from the very moment she’s dramatically brought in by helicopter – scenes Suranne couldn’t wait to get her teeth into.
However, the actress admitted that filming the sequences took their toll on her body and by the end she’d sustained a couple of different injuries.
