BBC LICENCE fee payers funded the rental of £58,000 of luxury diamonds for Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse to wear on the ballroom show, it was reported last night.

Motsi, who is paid £200,000 per series, showed off a glittering array of jewellery, including a £18,300 platinum bangle which she had hired from Boodles - which claims to be Britain’s leading retailer of Fine Diamond Jewellery.

Motsi, 41, the sister of former Strictly professional dancer Oti Mabusi, teamed the bangle with other items from Boodles - a large diamond platinum hoop earrings worth £15,600, a platinum diamond ring at £14,300 and a £10,000 white gold diamond bangle.

The ballroom star’s stylist Sinead McKeefry - who dresses her for the programme - plugged the brand on her Instagram account, but has since been reprimanded, the Mail on Sunday reported.
