South Lanarkshire Council to send money vouchers as replacement for free school meals

Parents of children in Rutherglen and Cambuslang who are entitled to free school meals are to receive PayPoint vouchers from now onSouth Lanarkshire Council had previously continued to supply 'take and go' lunches from their emergency childcare hubs in the area, however that will now stop from Friday, April 3.

Instead a £30 voucher will be sent directly to parents affected on a fortnightly basis using the mobile phone numbers or email addresses the Council already hold for them.

The small number of parents or carers whose numbers or emails are not known to the council will have the vouchers posted to them instead.The first £30 payments will be made on Friday, covering the weeks commencing March 30 and April 6.A second payment will then be
