Sir Andy Murray has sold his old home for almost £5million after having a new mansion built nearby. The tennis ace put his previous property in Oxshott, Surrey, on the market last year.
The house has five bedrooms, a swimming pool, cinema room, sauna and gym. Property records show it has been sold for £4,950,000 – just £28,000 more than the £4,922,000 Murray paid for it in June 2009.The double Wimbledon champion’s new home is just a few miles away in Leatherhead.
He bought the house, which has a tennis court in its 28 acres of grounds, in 2016.He initially built an extension before deciding to demolish it and build his own bespoke home in its place. Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here .
